There are some of you who are annoyed by children. There are even some who mistreat and abuse them. This grieves My heart. Whoever causes one of these little ones who believes in Me to sin it would be better if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were drowned in the sea. Woe to the man who causes these offenses.
These children are a blessing from the Lord. They are a reward from Me. The man who has his quiver full is blessed. They are the crown of old men. Do no hinder the little children. The kingdom of God belongs to them.
If there are any people who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child they will never enter it. Train the children in the way they should go and when they are old they won’t turn from it.
Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are children born in one’s youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their opponents in court.
