Anyone who commits sin is a slave to it. Anything that overcomes you enslaves you. Sinful passions and disobedience are common when you live in the flesh and not by My spirit. I release those imprisoned and free those who are beaten down. I have come to set the captives free.
If you abide in Me sin will no longer have dominion over you. In Me, you will have freedom. I want you to enjoy freedom. So stand firm. Don’t let the chains of slavery hold you down again. You were chosen to be free.
Live by My Holy Spirit’s power and you will not do as your sinful nature tempts you too. I will not allow you to be tempted by anything without providing a way out. Keep planting to please the Holy Spirit and you will harvest eternal life.
It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.
