Don’t try to hide things, from me or from your fellow Christians. Live in a glass house where all can see in so that you are more likely to keep it clean. You will not do things you know are sinful and try to hide them when you are letting others see publicly. There is great virtue in this.
When you don’t let people see in, you are more likely to do things in secret and will be tempted to think what people do not see does not matter. That is not true thought. It does matter. When you make yourself transparent, you become accountable. You don’t try to put things under the rug so you won’t be reprimanded for those actions.
When you are willing to be accountable, you will learn much and you will have no shame when you do so.
Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
— Hebrews 4:13
So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.
— Romans 14:12
