All of your life you have wanted to be a grown-up. As a youngster, you could not wait to be able to do the things older children and adults did. Children are limited as to what they can do and so you limit yourself when you remain immature spiritually.
Just as you were impatient to get your driver’s license and date, you should look to spiritual growing up in the same manner. Learning more about Me and studying My Word is like milk to a child, it will help you grow. Exercise faith and patience for these too will mature you and cause you to be strong.
The advantages of maturing are many. You will be able to stand firm, not toddling as a baby. You will be able to lead, unlike a small child. Determine to grow and mature in Me and you will experience the wonders I shall bestow upon you.
But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ To Him be the glory, both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
— 2 Peter 3:18
When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things.
— 1 Corinthians 13:11
