When you run from Me after you do something wrong, it only hurts you more. Full of shame and guilt, your heart becomes stubborn when you turn from Me and run away. I want to train you and just as it’s difficult to teach and correct a child who is not in your presence, it is with you as well.
Adam and Eve hid from Me, ashamed of their sins. It is human nature to do so but that does not make it alright. Swallow your pride and come to Me with repentance in your heart and I will show you a better way, a righteous way. Let Me disciple you and teach you so you may know My ways. Do this and you will save yourself a world of trouble and will live in triumph.
When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. For day and night your hand was heavy on me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer.
— Psalm 32:3-4
