There are false prophets in your midst. Don't let them deceive you. Do not listen to their dreams. They are visions of their own imaginations. They are telling prophecies that are lies. Do not listen to their words. They come in sheep's clothing but in their hearts they are ravenous wolves.
They are doing this in My name but I did not send them, command them, and haven't spoke to them. It is not from the mouth of your lord. Do not believe all these spirits.
Test every one to see if they are from Me. Many false prophets are in the world. Whoever knows Me will hear you when you speak. Whoever doesn't know Me, won't hear you. This is how you will know the Spirit of Truth or the spirit of error.
Then the LORD said to Me, “The prophets are prophesying lies in My name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries and the delusions of their own minds.

Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
