Do not exhaust yourself to gain wealth. Don't even think about it. Those who want to be rich fall into temptation. They fall into many foolish and harmful desires. This brings ruin and destruction. So don't store up your treasures on the Earth. Moths and rust destroy them. Thieves can break in and steal them.
Riches will not save anyone in the Day of Wrath. Don't love the world or anything in it. Store up your treasures in Heaven. I will reward prayer and fasting that is done in secret and not to be seen by others. When you are persecuted for My sake, I will reward you.
Love your enemies, do good, lend expecting nothing in return and your reward will be great. Throw a feast for the poor, crippled, and blind, and you will be repaid. Work for Me in whatever you do and you will be rewarded.
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
