I have seen foolishness taking root in you. If you continue being foolish, wrath will kill you. If you envy, it will slay you. Commit yourself to Me. I do great and unsearchable things. Do not despise My discipline. Rejoice in this correction. Doesn’t every good father discipline their son? Doesn’t every son respect a good father that disciplines them? Repentance will bring restoration to you.
Don’t be discouraged when I rebuke you because I scold those I love. This is a privilege of your sonship with Me. Blessed are the ones I instruct and teach My ways. I will give you rest from any adversity. I will make you whole.
I will deliver you from trouble. I trained you with chastisement so you will be a partaker of My holiness and yield the fruit of righteousness. This is evidence of My love for you.
And have you completely forgotten this word of encouragement that addresses you as a father addresses his son? It says, “My son, do not make light of the Lord’s discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines the one he loves, and he chastens everyone he accepts as his son.”
