Today's Daily Devotional

Don’t be afraid to help others. Do not be afraid to accept help either.

Just as I have commanded you to help others and to lighten their burdens, I commission you to not be too stubborn or prideful or ashamed to take help from Me and others.

You are likened unto a child who wants no assistance but yet doesn’t know how to do things. When you go to teach a child to write and she only insists on scribbling because she thinks she doesn’t need your help, know that you can be much the same way.

I know that you can be hesitant to accept help but I am telling you not to be. There is wisdom in the counsel of many. You are not above or below being helped so humble yourself and accept when others assist you. When you do this, you will find freedom and peace in Me.

Where there in no guidance the people fall.  But in abundance of counselors there is victory.

— Proverbs 11:14

Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.

— Galatians 6:2
