Do not be demanding, whiny or afraid when making your prayer requests. Be joyful and grateful, knowing the heart of a father is to give good things to his children. The heart of your Father in Heaven is likewise.
When you pray for something, think of a child asking for something from his earthly father. If a child is being spoiled and demanding, it certainly doesn’t make you ready to give him something.
Compare that to how rewarding it is to give to a needy child at Christmas when the gift is so greatly appreciated. The same is true of Me. I love to give to you when you are happy and thankful so come to Me with a glad and grateful heart and open up your arms for the blessings I shall pour down upon you.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
